Green marketing for sustainable products
Conscious consumers are looking for products that align with their values, and are scrutinising them ever more closely. In the EU and beyond, what counts most today is evidence-based claims. Our green marketing for sustainable products highlights precisely this, combining genuine substance with a presentation that inspires.

The real challenge
Where sustainable products are losing their impact in green marketing
#01 Visibility vs. new rules for environmental claims
In the EU, general terms such as „environmentally friendly“ will no longer be permitted from autumn 2026 onwards without recognised evidence. Many countries outside the EU are now also scrutinising environmental claims much more closely. Many labels are responding to this with silence. But those who no longer demonstrate their sustainability are giving away the most important reason why customers choose their product.
#02 Fair price vs. quick price comparison
Fair wages, high-quality materials and small production runs come at a price. Yet in the online shop, your product is just a click away from cheaper mass-produced goods. If the brand doesn’t explain what the higher price represents, customers will ultimately base their decision solely on price.
#03 Genuine substance vs. interchangeable eco-friendly aesthetics
Kraft paper, green leaves, handwritten-style lettering: even companies that have little to do with sustainability are now using this visual language. To customers, an authentic product then looks just like one that is simply well packaged. Genuine substance requires an identity that reflects the brand itself, rather than the entire industry.
Our response
Sustainable products sell better when backed by verifiable data

Specific statements backed up by evidence
„Sustainable“ becomes „made from GOTS-certified organic cotton“ or „made from 80 per cent recycled material“. We translate your evidence into messages that are clear, precise and verifiable.
A prize that speaks for itself
Product pages, product descriptions and social media tell the story of what goes into your product: materials, origin, people. This turns the premium price into a value that customers can understand.
An identity beyond eco-clichés
Colours, typography and visual language stem from your brand’s character. The result reflects who you are and remains just as recognisable on a crowded shelf as it does in a social media feed.
A system covering everything from strategy to the shop
Brand Strategy, design, packaging and labelling, product photography, social media and the WooCommerce shop all work together seamlessly. You’ll be working with a team and maintaining a consistent approach across all channels.
Experience from major brands meets a sense of purpose
We have already worked for major brands such as Henkel and Fresenius. Today, we deliberately apply this craft to products that do some good in the world.
Values that we practise ourselves
Our founder has been vegan since 2015. Fixed, transparent prices ensure that you can plan with confidence right from the start.

What you get
Sustainable products deserve to be showcased in a way that speaks for itself
Conscious shoppers read labels carefully. They want to know what a product is made of, who made it and why it costs more. Our green marketing for sustainable products provides clear answers to these questions. Material, origin and values are made so clear that every statement stands up to scrutiny.
For a Fair fashion label this could be a series of labels that illustrate the supply chain step by step. For Natural cosmetics Perhaps it’s a product page that explains each ingredient. A Zero-Waste Shop or a Workshop for upcycled products requires a visual language that puts the product itself centre stage. The foundation is always a clear brand strategy that carries through from the label to the online shop.
Customer feedback
What our customers say
„Sustainable branding isn’t just a green veneer, but a clear stance. This is where brands are created that not only make a visual impact, but also take on genuine responsibility and demonstrate a measurable impact.“
Anke Kühne
Managing Director | Estaverde
„Ethical brands don’t need flashy marketing; they need clear, honest language. When strategy, design and values align, genuine trust is built – and that’s exactly what lasts.“
Hannah Seward-Thompson
Sole trader | Mint Hedgehog
„Impact is created where branding does not merely sell, but brings about change. Sustainable brands in the property sector demonstrate that business and social responsibility are not a contradiction, but the very future.“
Ludwig Frede
Managing Director | BonnVisio
In figures
Why green marketing pays off in measurable terms for sustainable products
Of the environmental claims examined in the EU, many were vague, misleading or unfounded. Those who communicate in concrete terms and back up their claims with evidence therefore gain a real advantage in terms of trust today.
Consumers are willing to pay more for sustainably produced products – on average, 9.7 per cent. The prerequisite is that they understand what they are paying extra for.
Products with sustainability claims achieved cumulative growth over five years, compared with 20 per cent for those without such claims. These figures therefore also pay off in terms of turnover.
Branding process
From Purpose to Presence in four phases
Our process takes your brand from six weeks to Purpose to Presence. Across four phases , a clear, actionable result emerges step by step. The first and final phases each last one week, whilst the two in between each last two weeks. Each phase builds on the previous one and delivers a concrete outcome. At the end, you’ll have not just ideas, but a finished, consistent brand foundation – ready for use.
Strategy: Discover & Define
Once we have gathered all the relevant information, we carry out a thorough analysis. The aim is to truly understand the market and target audience before we develop the brand core, positioning and persona. We consolidate the results into a presentation, agree on them collectively and then translate them into a clear Strategy Guideline – as a robust foundation before the creative work begins.
Rough concept: Design
Now thinking becomes visible. Based on the archetypes from persona development, we use mood boards to discuss the atmosphere and style of the future brand identity. We then develop design routes as concrete creative directions. This phase is about establishing a clear direction and making selections – not yet about fine-tuning.
Detailed design: Develop
The chosen direction is worked out in detail here, and the system is made consistent. Components, variants, applications and details are refined and professionally prepared. This takes place internally, with a round of revisions. An idea is transformed into a robust, functioning system that can be implemented.
Realisation: Deliver & Document
This is where the branding is launched to the world: All assets are carefully developed and handed over; once approved, the brand is ready with logo, typefaces, colours, pictograms and illustrations are immediately ready for use. In the Design Guidelines , we establish clear rules for the system, explain how the building blocks interact and provide examples of their use – ensuring that the brand remains consistent, scalable and comprehensible in the long term.

What does green marketing mean for sustainable products?
Green Marketing refers to all the measures you can take to highlight the environmental and social strengths of your products. These include Brand Strategy, design, packaging, product descriptions, photography, social media and your online shop.
The order is crucial. First, we establish what makes your product demonstrably better. We then use this to create a brand that communicates these strengths in a way that is clear, credible and desirable .
What changes will the new rules on environmental claims bring?
In the EU, stricter rules on environmental claims made to consumers have been in force since autumn 2026. General claims such as „environmentally friendly“ or „green“ are no longer permitted without recognised evidence. This also applies to carbon neutrality based solely on offsetting, and to labels without a recognised certification system. Outside the EU too, for example in the UK, environmental claims are subject to significantly stricter scrutiny.
This is good news for sustainable products. Those with genuine substance can demonstrate it in concrete terms and with evidence. This allows your brand to stand out clearly from products that are merely packaged to look green. That is exactly where we come in.
Will you also carry out a legal review of my statements?
No, we are not a law firm and do not provide binding legal advice. We work with the documentation you provide, i.e. certificates, material specifications and data from your suppliers. We use this to formulate precise and verifiable messages.
In the case of sensitive statements, we also recommend a review by a law firm specialising in competition law. Our texts and a clear list of your supporting documents make this review quick and easy.
Which products is your green marketing suitable for?
For brands and manufacturers whose products make a real environmental or social difference: fair fashion, natural cosmetics, zero-waste products, upcycling and vegan food, as well as vegan products for pets. Whether a start-up or an established family business: what matters are the values behind them.
We make a particular difference for brands with online shops that have to compete with cheap mass-produced goods. In such cases, a clear online presence backed up by evidence often determines whether customers make a purchase or carry on looking.
What should I do to prepare before I start?
Any evidence relating to your products is helpful: certificates such as GOTS or the EU Ecolabel, material compositions, the origin of raw materials and information about your production partners. The more concrete the basis, the stronger your messages will be later on.
Gaps aren’t a problem. During the coffee break, we’ll look together at which statements you can already make with confidence today and where it’s worth adding further evidence. That way, you’ll start with a clear plan.
