The real challenge
Where vegan restaurants and hotels without clear branding are losing guests
#01 Pleasure vs. Instruction
Guests are primarily looking for good food, a pleasant evening or a quiet room. However, many vegan establishments focus their marketing on sacrifice and morality. This can quickly make their offering seem strict and uninviting. Guests who aren’t vegan themselves don’t feel it’s aimed at them and book elsewhere.
#02 Credibility versus general environmental promises
Terms such as „sustainable“ or „climate-neutral“ feature on many menus and hotel websites these days. In the EU, such general claims without recognised evidence will no longer be permitted from autumn 2026. Guests, too, are taking a closer look. Those who merely claim to uphold certain values without putting them into practice will lose trust.
#03 Individual identity vs. interchangeable eco-aesthetics
Earthy colours, plenty of wood, plants and handwritten-style lettering: this is how many cafés, restaurants and hotels present themselves these days. On Google Maps, Instagram or booking sites, these establishments all look almost identical. If you want to make a lasting impression, you need an identity that reflects your own business.
Our response
With their own distinctive branding, vegan restaurants and hotels attract the right guests

Pleasure takes centre stage
We prioritise the experience: flavour, atmosphere and hospitality. Your values remain evident without being preachy. This way, even guests who aren’t vegan feel welcome.
Values with supporting evidence
„Sustainable“ becomes „vegetables from three local farms“ or „bed linen made from GOTS-certified organic cotton“. We translate your evidence into clear messages that guests can understand and verify.
An identity that looks just like your home
Colours, typography and visual style are inspired by the history and character of your establishment. The result is just as recognisable on the menu as it is on social media feeds and booking platforms.
One system for all touchpoints
The logo, menu, website, social media, signage, takeaway packaging and in-room materials all follow a clear design theme. With templates and guidelines, your brand image remains consistent, even when your team creates content themselves.
Experience from major brands meets a sense of purpose
We have previously worked for major brands such as Henkel and Fresenius. Today, we deliberately apply this craft to establishments that combine indulgence with a sense of responsibility.
Values that we practise ourselves
Our founder has been vegan since 2015. Fixed, transparent prices ensure that you can plan with confidence right from the start.

What you get
Branding for vegan restaurants and hotels should inspire and bring joy
The first visit begins long before the first bite: when browsing Instagram, reading the menu online or on the booking page. Branding for vegan restaurants and hotels ensures that guests get a sense of what your establishment tastes and feels like right from the start. Delight and atmosphere are the main focus; your values are, of course, evident.
For a vegan café, a plant-based restaurant, a sustainable hotel or a Retreat We design everything guests come into contact with during their stay: menus and signage, the website and booking page, social media and the little cards in the room. Everything follows a consistent style that reflects your establishment’s identity. That way, guests will remember you and be happy to come back.

Why branding pays off in measurable terms for vegan restaurants and hotels
Restaurant guests prefer to eat at establishments that prioritise sustainability. Those who demonstrate their values clearly and credibly are thereby meeting a genuine desire shared by many guests.
Sustainable travel is important to travellers worldwide. 32,000 people in 34 countries were surveyed. Hotels with clear values therefore appeal to a very large target group.
Of those diners, many visit a restaurant’s website before eating there. Almost 70 per cent have been put off by a website at some point. So the first impression is made online.
Branding process
From Purpose to Presence in four phases
Our process takes your brand from six weeks to Purpose to Presence. Across four phases , a clear, actionable result emerges step by step. The first and final phases each last one week, whilst the two in between each last two weeks. Each phase builds on the previous one and delivers a concrete outcome. At the end, you’ll have not just ideas, but a finished, consistent brand foundation – ready for use.
Strategy: Discover & Define
Once we have gathered all the relevant information, we carry out a thorough analysis. The aim is to truly understand the market and target audience before we develop the brand core, positioning and persona. We consolidate the results into a presentation, agree on them collectively and then translate them into a clear Strategy Guideline – as a robust foundation before the creative work begins.
Rough concept: Design
Now thinking becomes visible. Based on the archetypes from persona development, we use mood boards to discuss the atmosphere and style of the future brand identity. We then develop design routes as concrete creative directions. This phase is about establishing a clear direction and making selections – not yet about fine-tuning.
Detailed design: Develop
The chosen direction is worked out in detail here, and the system is made consistent. Components, variants, applications and details are refined and professionally prepared. This takes place internally, with a round of revisions. An idea is transformed into a robust, functioning system that can be implemented.
Realisation: Deliver & Document
This is where the branding is launched to the world: All assets are carefully developed and handed over; once approved, the brand is ready with logo, typefaces, colours, pictograms and illustrations are immediately ready for use. In the Design Guidelines , we establish clear rules for the system, explain how the building blocks interact and provide examples of their use – ensuring that the brand remains consistent, scalable and comprehensible in the long term.

What does branding for vegan restaurants and hotels involve?
Branding encompasses everything guests see and experience at your establishment: your logo, colours, fonts, visual style and the way you communicate. This forms the basis for your menu, website, social media, signage and guest information materials.
It all comes down to the foundation. First, we clarify who you want to reach, what makes your business special, and what values guide you. We then create a design that brings these values to life.
Does my brand have to emphasise the word „vegan“?
Not necessarily. Some establishments display ‘vegan’ as a clear distinguishing feature, because it is precisely these guests who are specifically looking for them. Others focus on culinary enjoyment, regional specialities or atmosphere and mention ‘vegan’ as a natural feature.
Which approach is right depends on your guests and your location. We’ll sort this out together during the strategy phase, before the first design is created.
What changes will the new rules on environmental claims bring?
In the EU, stricter rules on environmental claims made to consumers have been in force since autumn 2026. General claims such as „environmentally friendly“ or „green“ are no longer permitted without recognised evidence. This also applies to carbon neutrality based solely on offsetting, and to labels without a recognised certification scheme. Environmental claims are also being scrutinised more closely outside the EU.
We are not a law firm and do not provide binding legal advice. However, we formulate your messages in concrete terms and with supporting evidence, for example regarding origin, certificates or energy supply. In the case of sensitive statements, we also recommend a review by a law firm specialising in competition law.
What sort of properties is your branding suitable for?
For vegan and vegetarian restaurants, cafés, bistros, hotels, guesthouses and retreats that combine enjoyment with a sense of responsibility. Whether it’s a new opening or an established venue with a long history: what matters are the values behind it.
We make a particular difference to businesses looking to reposition themselves or expand, for example by opening a second branch, launching a new concept or developing their own products for sale.
What should I do to prepare before I start?
Anything that describes your business will be helpful: your concept, your menu or what you offer, your target guests and supporting documents such as certificates or details of your suppliers. Existing materials such as your website, photos or leaflets are also useful.
You don’t need to come prepared with ready-made answers. During the coffee break, we’ll work together to identify what makes your business unique and what your presentation needs first and foremost. That way, you’ll start with a clear plan.

A coffee break together
Branding for vegan restaurants and hotels that share the same values
A branding strategy for vegan restaurants and hotels ensures that guests recognise your establishment and feel welcome even before their first visit. It combines enjoyment with values and clarity with atmosphere. This helps you attract guests who share your values and are happy to return.
During a no-obligation, free coffee break, we’ll explore together whether we share this vision. You grab a coffee, and we’ll make sure to set aside plenty of time. During the break, we’ll organise our thoughts, share ideas openly and find out what really matters to your organisation. Calm. Honest. With no pressure to make a decision.
Do you want people to be able to tell straight away what your restaurant or hotel stands for? If so, we look forward to hearing from you.
