The real challenge

Where educational marketing and e-learning design make the difference when it comes to enrolments

Q

#01 Good teaching vs. visible provision

Many education providers focus their efforts on content, teaching methods and student support. Marketing is often an afterthought. However, prospective students compare degree programmes, training courses and other courses online in a matter of minutes. If a website and social media do not demonstrate the quality of teaching, they will opt for a different option.

Q

#02 Digital provision vs. motivated learning

There are now many courses available online. However, they often consist of recorded lectures and lengthy PDF files. Learners can then quickly lose their way and their motivation. Some drop out, whilst others do not recommend the course to others. Effective e-learning requires a clear structure, short modules and a design that encourages learning.

Q

#03 Strong performance vs. inconsistent learning materials

The website and brochure present a modern image. However, the study materials, slides and learning platform look quite different. Participants notice this discrepancy by the time they have registered, if not before. A consistent image from the very first click right through to the final module, on the other hand, builds trust. It shows that a provider pays careful attention to detail.

Our response

Through clear marketing and high-quality learning programmes, education providers attract loyal participants

R

Marketing that showcases good teaching

We identify what makes your educational programme special and who it is aimed at. This forms the basis for a website, social media and content that prospective students can quickly understand. In this way, your online presence showcases the quality of your teaching before anyone enrols.

R

Learning opportunities that encourage further learning

We develop e-learning courses, learning apps and learning modules with a clear structure and short sessions. Exercises, examples and a calm design help learners stay on track and achieve their goals.

R

A design from the very first click to the very last module

Study guides, workbooks, Presentations The learning platform follows the same corporate design as the website and social media. Using templates, your team can later create new courses themselves in the same design.

R

Five years’ experience in the education sector

We have worked in the education sector for five years. During this time, we have developed e-learning courses, designed study materials and managed all aspects of marketing: the website and online marketing, social media, community management and content marketing. We therefore have first-hand experience of the processes and challenges faced by education providers.

R

Experience gained at major agencies and with major brands

Our founder has worked for agencies such as MetaDesign, Publicis, frog design and GREY, and has worked with clients including Siemens, Henkel and Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. Drawing on this experience and her network, she creates educational marketing and e-learning design that conveys knowledge in a clear and engaging way.

R

Values that we practise ourselves

The 2bu network is made up of creative professionals with their hearts in the right place. We are united by ethical conduct and respectful interaction on an equal footing, and that is precisely what makes working here a pleasure for everyone. This fair way of working together also includes fixed, transparent prices and reliable timetables.

What you get

Education marketing and e-learning design from a single source make learning easier

Marketing and learning materials go hand in hand. Marketing makes a promise, and the learning materials must deliver on it. We therefore design Website, Social media, content marketing and learning resources, all from a single source. This means that participants experience the same high standard of quality from the very first click right through to completion.

Whether Academy, university, further education provider or online course provider: First, we’ll establish who you want to reach and how your participants learn best. This will result in a clear brand identity and easy-to-understand Course materials …and digital learning resources, right through to learning apps. They grow alongside your programme and can be easily expanded using templates.

Customer feedback

First-hand: what customers experience

„Sustainable branding isn’t just a green veneer, but a clear stance. This is where brands are created that not only make a visual impact, but also take on genuine responsibility and demonstrate a measurable impact.“

Anke Kühne
Managing Director | Estaverde

„Ethical brands don’t need flashy marketing; they need clear, honest language. When strategy, design and values align, genuine trust is built – and that’s exactly what lasts.“

Hannah Seward-Thompson
Sole trader | Mint Hedgehog

„Impact is created where branding does not merely sell, but brings about change. Sustainable brands in the property sector demonstrate that business and social responsibility are not a contradiction, but the very future.“

Ludwig Frede
Managing Director | BonnVisio

Why education providers achieve measurably better results with effective marketing and e-learning

of adults in Germany took part in further education in 2022. So many people want to learn. The key is for them to find your programme and trust it.

Source: BMBF, Adult Education Survey 2022

Distance-learning providers in Germany are planning new educational programmes for 2025. The range of courses on offer is growing rapidly. A clear profile will help you stand out in this market.

Of the continuing education providers surveyed, provide digital platforms for self-directed learning. Digital learning is therefore the norm. Good design determines whether learners stick with it.

Branding process

From Purpose to Presence in four phases

Our process leads your brand into six weeks from Purpose to Presence. Over four phases, a clear, actionable outcome is developed step by step: the first and last phases each last one week, whilst the two in between each last two weeks. Each phase builds on the previous one. At the end, you won’t be left with just ideas, but with a Ready-made, consistent brand foundation in hand – ready for action.

l

Strategy: Discover & Define

Once we have gathered all the relevant information, we carry out a thorough analysis. The aim is to truly understand the market and target audience before we develop the brand core, positioning and persona. We consolidate the results into a presentation, agree on them collectively and then translate them into a clear Strategy Guideline – as a robust foundation before the creative work begins.

Rough concept: Design

Now thinking becomes visible. Based on the archetypes from persona development, we use mood boards to discuss the atmosphere and style of the future brand identity. We then develop design routes as concrete creative directions. This phase is about establishing a clear direction and making selections – not yet about fine-tuning.

Detailed design: Develop

The chosen direction is worked out in detail here, and the system is made consistent. Components, variants, applications and details are refined and professionally prepared. This takes place internally, with a round of revisions. An idea is transformed into a robust, functioning system that can be implemented.

n

Realisation: Deliver & Document

This is where the branding is launched to the world: All assets are carefully developed and handed over; once approved, the brand is ready with logo, typefaces, colours, pictograms and illustrations are immediately ready for use. In the Design Guidelines , we establish clear rules for the system, explain how the building blocks interact and provide examples of their use – ensuring that the brand remains consistent, scalable and comprehensible in the long term.

FAQ

Answers to the most important questions

The most frequently asked questions are rarely the least important ones. That’s why we answer them here openly and straight away. This way, you’ll get a clear picture, understand our processes and know what to expect next. What are the key elements of effective educational marketing and e-learning design?

To the Education marketing This includes everything that prospective customers see before registering: positioning, corporate identity, website, social media and content. To the E-learning design This includes everything that participants use afterwards: courses, the learning platform, study materials and presentations.

Both areas work best when they are based on the same principles. We will therefore start by clarifying, who you want to reach, how your participants learn, and what values guide you. The result is a cohesive look and feel, from the website right through to the very last module.

What types of learning formats do you develop?

If you have a Have e-learning content created If you’d like, we’ll develop E-learning courses, learning modules, learning apps and content for learning platforms. To this end, we create study guides, workbooks, presentations and worksheets in line with your brand’s design.

We work together to develop the content and design right from the start. Good learning programmes lead to Step by step through the subject matter, set clear priorities and encourage you to practise. With Templates for your own content Your team will then be able to create new courses themselves using the same design.

Can you work with our existing learning platform?

In many cases, yes. Many education providers already use a learning platform. In that case, we design Content, templates and interfaces tailored to suit your platform and your brand. New technology is often not required for this.

To begin with, we’ll look at this together, what your platform can do and where its limitations lie. If switching to a different app or using your own learning app makes sense, we’ll lay out the options clearly for you. You can then take your time to make the decision.

Do you also handle the day-to-day marketing?

Yes. As well as the website and corporate identity, we can also take care of your day-to-day marketing on request: Social media, community management, content marketing and newsletters. Whether it’s marketing for a training academy or university marketing for a new degree programme: the content follows a clear editorial plan.

This is particularly evident in the education sector Knowledge as content particularly well. Insights into courses, feedback from participants and short learning modules show how you work. This builds trust, long before anyone signs up.

What should I do to prepare before I start?

Anything that describes your educational provision will be helpful: your programme, your target audiences, existing course materials and your learning platform. Existing materials such as the website, leaflets or social media channels are also useful.

You don’t need to come prepared with ready-made answers. During the coffee break, we’ll sort things out together, what makes your offer stand out and what is needed first. That way, you’ll start with a clear plan.

Branding that attracts guests who are a good fit for you

A Sustainable branding for vegan restaurants and hotels ensures that your home not only looks good, but is also instantly recognisable. This break is there to help us organise our thoughts, share ideas openly and identify what really matters to your organisation. Calmly. Honestly. Without any pressure to decide.

Do you want people to be able to tell straight away what your restaurant or hotel stands for? If so, we look forward to hearing from you.
