Personal data will only be transmitted to third parties if this is necessary in the context of contract processing. Third parties may be, for example, payment service providers or logistics companies. Any further transmission of data will not take place or will only take place if you have expressly consented to this.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

You can register on our website to use certain functions. The data transmitted is used exclusively for the purpose of using the respective offer or service. Mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise we will refuse the registration.

In the event of important changes, for example for technical reasons, we will inform you by e-mail. The e-mail will be sent to the address provided during registration.

The processing of the data entered during registration is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification by e-mail is sufficient for the cancellation. The legality of the data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the cancellation.

We store the data collected during registration for the period that you are registered on our website. Your data will be deleted if you cancel your registration. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

WhatsApp

For communication with our customers and other third parties, we use the instant messaging service WhatsApp, among others. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from gaining access to the communication content. However, WhatsApp receives access to metadata that is created in the course of the communication process (e.g. sender, recipient and time). We would also like to point out that WhatsApp states that it shares personal data of its users with its parent company Facebook, which is based in the USA. Further details on data processing can be found in WhatsApp's privacy policy at https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.

WhatsApp is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in communicating as quickly and effectively as possible with customers, interested parties and other business and contractual partners (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR). If a corresponding consent has been requested, the data processing takes place exclusively on the basis of the consent; this can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

The communication content exchanged between and on WhatsApp will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions –, in particular retention periods –, remain unaffected.

We use WhatsApp in the „WhatsApp Business“ version.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-data-transfer-addendum.

We have set up our WhatsApp accounts so that it does not automatically synchronise data with the address book on the smartphones in use. We have concluded an order processing contract with WhatsApp.

Storage duration of posts and comments

Contributions and comments as well as related data, such as IP addresses, are stored. The content remains on our website until it has been completely deleted or has to be deleted for legal reasons.

Posts and comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification by e-mail is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the cancellation.

Subscribe to comments

As a user of our website, you can subscribe to comments after registering. We will send you a confirmation e-mail to check whether you are the owner of the e-mail address provided. You can cancel the subscription function for comments at any time via a link in a subscription e-mail. Data entered to set up the subscription will be deleted if you unsubscribe. If this data has been transmitted to us for other purposes and elsewhere, it will remain with us.

Newsletter data

We require an e-mail address from you in order to send you our newsletter. Verification of the e-mail address provided is necessary and you must consent to receiving the newsletter. Additional data is not collected or is voluntary.

The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time. To withdraw your consent, simply send us an informal email or unsubscribe via the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the cancellation.

Data entered to set up the subscription will be deleted in the event of cancellation. If this data has been transmitted to us for other purposes and elsewhere, it will remain with us.

MailChimp

This website uses the services of MailChimp to send newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a service that can be used to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters, among other things. If you enter data for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. email address), this data is stored on MailChimp's servers in the USA.

With the help of MailChimp, we can analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent with MailChimp, a file contained in the email (known as a web beacon) connects to MailChimp's servers in the USA. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. Technical information is also collected (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used exclusively for statistical analysis

of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not wish to be analysed by MailChimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link for this purpose in every newsletter message.

The data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the cancellation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here:

https://mailchimp.com/eu-us-data-transfer-statement/ and https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/#Annex_C_-_Standard_Contractual_Clauses.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address will be stored by us or the

Newsletter service provider may be stored in a blacklist to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The

Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

For more information, please refer to MailChimp's privacy policy at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

Conclusion of a data processing agreement
We have concluded a so-called „Data Processing Agreement“ with MailChimp, in which we oblige MailChimp to protect our customers' data and not to pass it on to third parties.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your end device. Cookies help us to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Some cookies are “session cookies”. Such cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your browser session. Other cookies, on the other hand, remain on your device until you delete them yourself. Such cookies help us to recognise you when you return to our website.

With a modern web browser, you can monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured so that cookies are deleted automatically when the programme is closed. Deactivating cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.

The setting of cookies, which are necessary for the performance of electronic communication processes or the provision of certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping basket), takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and smooth provision of our services. If other cookies are set (e.g. for analysis functions), these are treated separately in this privacy policy.

Google Analytics

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of the web analysis service is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website and possibly also advertising.

IP anonymisation

We use Google Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymisation function. It ensures that Google truncates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it to the USA. There may be exceptional cases in which Google transmits the full IP address to a server in the USA and truncates it there. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser plugin

The setting of cookies by your web browser can be prevented. However, this may restrict some of the functions of our website. You can also prevent the collection of data relating to your website use, including your IP address and subsequent processing by Google. You can do this by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Order processing

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google in order to fully fulfil the statutory data protection requirements.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

Our website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics. It can be used to create reports that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and visitor data from third-party providers. It is not possible to assign the data to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time. This is possible via the ad settings in your Google account or by generally prohibiting the collection of your data by Google Analytics, as explained in the section “Objection to data collection”.

Matomo cookies remain on your end device until you delete them.

Matomo cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the anonymised analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both our website and, if necessary, advertising.

The information stored in the Matomo cookie about the use of this website is not passed on. The setting of cookies by your web browser can be prevented. However, some functions of our website may be restricted as a result.

You can deactivate the storage and use of your data here. Your browser sets an opt-out cookie that prevents the storage of Matomo usage data. The transmission of your data to Klarna is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (processing for the fulfilment of a contract). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Data processing operations in the past remain effective in the event of cancellation.

Instant bank transfer

Our website enables payment via “Sofortüberweisung.” The provider of this payment service is Sofort GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich.

With the help of the “Sofortüberweisung” procedure, we receive a payment confirmation from Sofort GmbH in real time and can immediately begin to fulfil our obligations.

When paying by “Sofortüberweisung”, your PIN and TAN are transmitted to Sofort GmbH. The payment provider then logs into your online banking account, automatically checks your account balance and carries out the transfer. This is followed by an immediate transaction confirmation. Your turnover, the credit limit of your overdraft facility and the existence of other accounts and their balances are also automatically checked after logging in.

In addition to PIN and TAN, the transmission to Sofort GmbH also includes payment data and personal data. The personal data includes your first and last name, address, telephone number(s), email address, IP address and any other data required for payment processing. Facebook Pixel

This website uses Facebook's visitor action pixel to measure conversions. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.

This allows the behaviour of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimised.

The data collected is anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy. This enables Facebook to place adverts on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.

The use of Facebook Pixel is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures including social media.

If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum and https://de-de.facebook.com/help/566994660333381.

Google AdSense

Our website uses Google AdSense. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google AdSense is used to integrate adverts and sets cookies. Cookies are small text files that your web browser stores on your end device in order to analyse the use of the website. Google AdSense also uses web beacons. Web beacons are invisible graphics that make it possible to analyse visitor traffic on our website.

Information generated by cookies and web beacons is transferred to Google servers and stored there. The server location is the USA. Google may pass this information on to contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.

AdSense cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the website operator, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website and our advertising.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

Our website uses Google AdWords. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States.

AdWords is an online advertising programme. We work with conversion tracking as part of the online advertising programme. After clicking on an advert placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that your web browser stores on your end device. Google AdWords cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. The cookie allows Google and us to recognise that you have clicked on an ad and have been redirected to our website.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. Conversion cookies are used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. AdWords customers find out how many users clicked on their advert and were redirected to pages with a conversion tracking tag. However, AdWords customers do not receive any information that allows users to be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to its use. In this case, the conversion cookie must be deactivated in the user settings of the browser. This also prevents inclusion in the conversion tracking statistics.

“Conversion cookies” are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the website operator, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website and our advertising.

Details on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

With a modern web browser, you can monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Deactivating cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.

Social media presence

We maintain social media presences in order to communicate with active customers, interested parties and users and to keep them up to date with news and services in a contemporary way. We have linked to these on our website. Visitor data may also be processed in countries outside the European area. Different data protection standards apply there. We would therefore like to point out that there are risks associated with this; for example, data processing is subject to other regulations with regard to transparency or law enforcement. User data may also be used for market research and advertising purposes. Usage profiles can also be created from the collected data, in particular from the behaviour when using certain offers and the interests determined in the process. These in turn can also be used to place adverts within social media, but also on other channels. This information is often collected with the help of cookies on users' end devices and analysed according to certain criteria. The data stored in the social networks for the individual profiles can also be linked to the data stored with the help of cookies.

The maintenance of appearances in social media and the resulting processing of personal data takes place on the basis of our legitimate interests in effective and up-to-date information and communication of users and interested parties in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. GDPR takes place. If consent to data processing is obtained, the processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, Art. 7 GDPR. We would like to ask you to note the individual information provided by the providers regarding the details of the individual processing operations and objection options. We would like to point out that the most effective way to assert user rights and requests for information is to contact the providers. Only they have the necessary database and the technical and organisational means to take the necessary measures for this purpose. We will be happy to provide you with any assistance you may require.
